You can be a part of tomorrow, today, by subsidising a Queensland medical student to attend the pivotal conference for rural medicine in Queensland.
Rural Doctors Association of Queensland (RDAQ) hosts our conference each year in June. We are committed to growing the rural health workforce of the future. Each year RDAQ provides a unique opportunity for medical students to establish networks and rural mentors at our unique conference through the subsidise-a-student program. This program invites medical delegates to subsidise-a-student, either full or half subsidy, to attend the event and provide them with valuable experience and networking opportunity to help develop their future in Rural Queensland.
RDAQ offers medical students a unique conferencing experience with integrated programs and superior networking activities.
We have revamped our subsidy program to increase networking for students and improved amenity for our participating doctor mentors. We are excited to be linking students and mentors in small groups, rather than one student with just one mentor. This will allow students to network with a greater range of professionals over the weekend, with a diversity in skills and knowledge. Additionally, the students will be able to identify a few familiar faces throughout the conference for guidance so they can gain more from their conferencing experience.
This program is not possible without the support of medical delegates at RDAQ, we thank you for your continued support for the future of rural and remote medicine in Queensland, as we strive to make 2019 even more successful and memorable for the rural doctors of tomorrow.
