This one day workshop designed for GP Obstetricians features:

RDAQ Pre-Conference Workshop 2: RACGP Supervisor Continuing Professional Development

Join medical educators Drs Justin Coleman, Loui Setch, and Cindi Jackson for four sessions aimed at extending your skills as a GP supervisor. Enjoy plenty of peer discussion, tapping into the “wisdom in the room” as we run through a mix of hard and soft skills useful for guiding our registrars into becoming fully capable GPs. The workshop qualifies for 6.5 hours of CPD, and includes the following topics:

  • Guidelines and high-yield preventive health
  • Registrar running late? A troubleshooting guide
  • Teaching beyond your knowledge
  • Making feedback matter in workplace-based assessments

RDAQ Pre-Conference Workshop 3: Doctors in Training Rural Clinical Skills

Onsite requirements: Participants are asked to wear short sleeve tops and shorts, i.e. not long pants.

This pre-conference workshop allows you to practise the key skills you’ll use everyday in rural generalist practice, from suturing to plastering and more. Medical students, interns and junior doctors are invited to participate.
