Family Program

QRMFN Family Program available and Registration now open!

This year’s QRMFN Family Program provides a range of exciting options for rural spouses, partners and children, with many opportunities to catch up with old friends and new. We’ll experience the beauty of Mackay and its surrounding areas on our social outings to Forest Flying at Finch Hatton Gorge, the Sarina Sugar Shed, and Bluewater Lagoon.
It’s great to also be able to use the wonderful facilities of the Mackay Entertainment and Convention Centre for our family activities during the Welcome Reception and Conference Opening sessions, as well as our Kismet Workshop featuring belly dancing and costume and prop making in preparation for the Magical Arabian Night on Saturday. Sunday’s activities promise to be a highlight with exciting circus workshops at which participants will have great fun learning and performing new skills like clowning, juggling, hula hooping, & acro-balance! If you would prefer a quieter start to your Sunday, come along on our stroll through the City Centre Markets which offer quality local produce and work by talented artists and craftspeople from Mackay and surrounding areas. We’ll be back in time for lunch, followed by the QRMFN High Tea and Ideas Forum that afternoon – another event not to be missed! While Conference delegates and their partners are enjoying the Conference Dinner and Awards that evening, children will be involved in a Circus Evening, with other babysitting options also available.
Full details of the Family Program have been published in the current issue of the QRMFN newsletter, Backbone and can also be viewed by visiting www.qrmfn.com.au. Registrations close on Friday, 21 May, 2010.
