Family Program
Queensland Rural Medical Family Network (QRMFN)
The annual RDAQ conference provides a great opportunity for rural medical families to come together with a common understanding of the experiences and challenges we face as families of rural medical practitioners. RDAQ and QRMFN have a long standing association and commitment to rural medical families and QRMFN is again very proud to be able to support RDAQ 2012.
If you are considering registering for the Conference, and haven’t previously been accompanied by your spouse/partner or family, this is the year to bring them along. Hyatt Regency at Sanctuary Cove is a wonderful venue for families, and in the spirit of the Conference theme, we’ll also be Going for Gold with a Mini Olympics event, Treasure Hunt and visits to a Gold Coast Theme Park and Mount Tamborine among the activities on offer. Families registered for the program will also have their accompanying children cared for during the Conference Dinner on Sunday night, either as part of a program specially designed for our younger participants or by babysitters in the comfort of their own hotel rooms. The 2012 QRMFN Family Program will provide a great opportunity for rural medical spouses, partners and families to come together and enjoy a weekend of fun and friendship on the beautiful Gold Coast.
Full details of the program will be available on the Events section of the QRMFN website at www.qrmfn.com.au early in 2012 and will also be published in Issue 36 of QRMFN’s journal, Backbone. Details of the program and a session booking form will be forwarded to all individuals for whom spouse registration is paid for RDAQ 2012. The Spouse Registration fee includes attendance at specified conference sessions plus tickets to the Welcome Reception, Saturday night function and Conference Gala Dinner and Awards. All other partner and children’s activities outlined in the QRMFN program are sponsored by QRMFN, as part of its ongoing commitment to supporting rural medical families. Attendance is free for children under the age of 16, with charges applying for some activities for children aged 16 and over and for additional adults accompanying the family.
NB. The Spouse registration fee does not include attendance at all RDAQ (main conference) sessions. Spouses who are also medical practitioners wishing to attend all RDAQ conference sessions are required to pay the full RDAQ delegate registration fee.
